On Sunday, the Chi Town Nightmare traveled to The Siege Paintball in Big Bend, WI for their first Paintball Tournament of 2024. The event was a 3v3 tournament with 20 teams from all around the area. The 3v3 format is a quick pace that allows teams to get in a lot of games in a short time. We used this event to help our newer members – Anna K., Cody M. (Mac), Alex S., and Jacob S. – get more tournament experience. Our senior members – Cody A. and Ryan B. – played and mentored the new members. The team was managed by Rob H. and Nathan A.
Our young team placed 19th in the event, but most importantly our new members gained valuable experience in tournament play. Throughout the day our team continued to improve on the field. We worked through the losses in the first round. In the second round, we started getting opposing players out (kills) and we won the last match to force a third-round tie-breaker game.
